Performance apparel -- it now keeps you cool and looks hot
These days, it seems that everywhere you look, things are more health conscious.
As you will read in the cover story of this month's
Impressions magazine,
"Health is hot -- and it's evident across all industries.
Fast-food chains such as McDonald's are stepping out with nutritional alternatives to artery-blocking Big Macs.
Supermarkets are expanding organic lines, and fitness centers are popping up on once-vacant street corners.
And in the world of apparel, performance wear reigns."
Customers have become used to getting garments that are 'just' moisture-wicking.
Now, they are demanding even more performance from their apparel.
Garments that introduce additional features such as anti-bacterial
or waterproof technology are even more appealing to the increasingly educated customer base.
Alo performance wear delivers not only the best in performance fabrics,
but also fashionable styles that can be worn with ease throughout your life.
Sublimation works especially well on these garments and you can see great examples throughout the August 2007 hardcopy issue.
Alo's women's styles are featured on the cover, table of contents and headline article.
Get yours today to see great ways performance wear can be used and embellished.
Bella awarded by PMDM
Promotional Marketing has announced the winners of this year's Supplier Excellence Awards and Bella is among them!
"Promotional Marketing's 2007 Supplier Excellence Awards recognize the best in more than 30 categories
spanning the range of promotional products.
More than 50,000 promotional products distributors received a survey asking them to select
whom they believe to be the leading supplier in apparel, drinkware, electronics and many more merchandise classes.
So overwhelming was the response that each category includes a Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist
to account for the large numbers and close competition.
The results revealed distributors care not only about their favorite companies, but about their industry."
Bella is proud to be a silver medalist in the women's apparel category.

Greener Trade shows
For those of us in the apparel industry, trade shows are a necessary part of our business.
Unfortunately, a great deal of waste is associated with these shows - power, boxes, carpet, paper... the list goes on and on.
The good news is, the trade show industry is taking notice and making changes.
GES
is making a difference in their offices and on the show floors.
They have implemented recycling programs in their offices, are using reusable china and utensils and aim to go paperless.
Changes that can have an even greater impact are being made at the shows --
"Materials such as foam core and signage substrates are used and reused, as well as PVC and card stock,
which are later, donated to local school art departments.
Carpet is used, reused and converted for other uses, such as crate lining.
Though reusing is a start, GES recognizes the importance of replacing outdated products with more eco-friendly ones.
GES now uses are 100% recycled content waste baskets and table risers, 100% recycled synthetic carpet padding,
and 25% recycled content aisle carpet." Exhibitors, as well, now have the option of building "greener" trade show booths.
Eco-Systems Sustainable Exhibits
have launched themselves into the exhibit building business at just the right time.
"They are the first green-built, sustainable exhibit system in North America,
touting displays made of either recycled content or rapidly renewable materials.
In less than two years of research, the company has developed an extensive inventory of sustainable products,
such as flooring made from commercial vehicle tires, panels from recycled soda bottles or cork,
and cabinets made of bamboo and sorghum.
Lighting is ultra energy efficient, graphics are dye rather than solvent based,
and fabrics and packaging are derived from compostable corn resin."
Kudos to Eco-Systems for making a difference.
