Coming soon to a retailer near you...
...Alo's 2008 retail collection!
Due to incredible success in the wholesale market, Alo will begin to make its way into the retail market.
The Spring and Summer lines debuted at Magic in August and were a big hit with both buyers and press alike.
The lines will feature the same high quality performance fabrics,
a few favorite styles from the wholesale collection and many new exciting styles and colors.
"New brand, Alo, acronym for "air, land, and ocean" showed a strong collection of flattering sporty lifestyle pieces.
Also featured feminine looks for running, tennis, yoga, and cross-training.
Jewel-toned brights, contrast details and mixed tech fabrications are key.
A combination of contrast bindings, linings and zippers alongside mesh side panels and hidden pockets
created an elevated level of fashionable activewear."

ASI in the Big Apple!
ASI has announced that they will be moving the ASI Philadelphia show to New York City beginning next May!
The 2008 show will be held May 6-8, the same dates as the originally scheduled ASI Philadelphia show.
ASI distributors and suppliers chose New York City as the #1 choice for a Northeast event
and, after several years of negotiations, it's finally happening.
The show will take place in the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan and "will feature top innovative suppliers,
dozens of free education sessions, three free Keynote presentations and daily interactive networking events
at some of the world's leading social hot spots.
In addition, ASI distributor members will be able to enjoy a number of benefits,
such as a free hotel room on the first night of exhibits."

Offering a helping hand
September 15, 2007 was Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Clean-up Day
and a team from Bella/Alo reported to Venice Beach, CA to do our part.
Volunteers from around the country and world helped to make "the ocean, waterways, and lakes
cleaner and safer for people and wildlife.
Volunteers can be proud to have played a critical role in the world's largest single-day volunteer effort
to improve the health of the ocean and its wildlife.
In addition to cleaning up waterways and beaches,
volunteers collected important data on the types, quantity and location of marine debris
that will lead to an ongoing effort to prevent marine debris through education and outreach all year."

A Greener City...
Companies and individuals around the world are taking steps toward a greener planet
and environmental groups are working to get policies implemented on local, state and national levels,
so it's nice to see one of the US's biggest cities taking steps of its own.
San Francisco has been making headlines lately and cities nationwide should take notice.
The mayor has banned the use of plastic shopping bags and in June,
"signed an executive order banning the use of city funds to purchase single-serving plastic water bottles.
The order also prohibits the sale of such water containers on city-owned property."
The campaign to get residents to use tap water instead of purchasing single-serving bottles also serves up a solution...
"Residents who sign an online pledge not to buy bottles
can get a stainless-steel recyclable container from the city for free."
It doesn't stop here, though;
the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, along with Bio Solar, has implemented a program
to turn leftover grease from the city's restaurants into fuel for
San Francisco's city vehicles.
So far, about 40 of the city's approximately 2,600 restaurants have signed up.
And, finally, on October 20, residents took part in
Lights Out San Francisco
-- a grassroots campaign to raise awareness of unnecessary use of electricity.
For one hour -- from 8pm to 9pm -- residents and business owners throughout the city turned off all non-essential lights.
Nate Tyler, a former Google spokesman, has adapted the idea from "Earth Hour" in Sydney, Australia...
an event which he happened upon during a recent visit.
